This book represents a long-term project on the feast of Carnival, exploring both the multitude of expressions it has found worldwide, and the way in which each city has come to adopt rituals differently. Carnival is a festival season occurring immediately before Lent, with the main events usually held during February or March.
Photographer Marcelo Bendahan presents a dynamic exploration of how people portray themselves, exchange messages and communicate stories during Carnival.
